Leeds United transfer target Grady Diangana to be left out of West Brom squad for Elland Road showdown
West Brom forward Grady Diangana is set to be left out of the matchday squad to face Leeds United on Friday 18 August, according to Express & Star.
According to the UK publication (17 August), Diangana is set to miss out on Friday’s game but could return to training next week ahead of his long-awaited return to Carlos Corberan’s squad.
Leeds have been linked with the forward already this summer with CBS Journalist Ben Jacobs sharing [GIVEMESPORT, 6 August] that the Whites are among several clubs interested in the 25-year-old winger after Express & Star reported on 1 August that West Brom wanted around £7million to sell the 25-year-old.

Diangana hasn’t played since February, a 2-0 defeat to Middlesbrough, after suffering a foot injury which required two separate operations but has made a speedy recovery but is set to sit out Friday’s crucial showdown between Leeds and West Brom, according to Express and Star.
Late summer move?
Diangana’s injury certainly gives a telling boost for the West Bromwich Albion faithful with Carlos Corberan struggling with a depleted attacking weaponry, despite boosting his options this summer.
However, with all the talk regarding Diangana’s future this summer with the Baggies desperately needing funds, there’s still a chance the former West Ham United forward could leave West Midlands in search of pastures new.

Leeds United, in desperate need of attacking reinforcements of their own following the rumours surrounding Wilfried Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra and Jack Harrison’s departure to Everton this week, could be tempted into a late summer move for Diangana.
Daniel Farke needs attacking quality if his side are to challenge near the top of the Championship, but simply cannot do that if the Whites don’t add to their squad this summer.
Friday’s game will provide another huge test for Farke’s depleted squad but could also provide a telling reminder and wake-up call to the Leeds United bosses that they need more signings if they are to fulfil their Premier League promotion ambitions come May.
