Leeds United transfer ‘plans’ in place as ‘very good’ idea mooted by Sky Sports pundit

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United

Paul Robinson has suggested Daniel Farke will have transfer “plans” in place ahead of his unveiling as the new head coach of Leeds United.

BBC Sport reporter Adam Pope suggested on 30 June that the German is now closing in on the Elland Road hot seat after agreeing on terms.

Robinson believes an “overhaul” is on the cards heading into what promises to be an extremely busy transfer window.

“Whoever has got the job has already been told and plans are in place,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

“The players are nearly back for pre-season and it didn’t seem like five minutes ago before the season finished. There are going to be a number of outgoings and an overhaul of the squad with signings coming in.

“Whoever that man is – to take the hot seat at Elland Road – will have a very good idea of the squad of players that he wants, the ones he wants to leave and what he needs to bolster that.”

Farke has previously achieved promotion twice during his time with Norwich City and has most recently been with Borussia Mönchengladbach in Germany. The 46-year-old has been considered along with Patrick Vieira and Scott Parker.
