Leeds United transfer news: Tyler Roberts to be unveiled at Birmingham City by Friday amid medical update
Tyler Roberts is expected to be unveiled as a Birmingham City player by the weekend with his medical ahead of leaving Leeds United currently in progress, Neil Moxley reports in The Mirror.
The forward is on his way to St. Andrew’s after spending last term on loan at QPR and failing to produce a regular supply of goals at Elland Road.
A £750,000 up-front fee has been quoted as the price for the Welshman [Daily Mail, 15 June], and the Whites have been tipped to even insert some favourable clauses into the deal, as his exit should be made official this week.

In his Wednesday morning (21 June) update on The Mirror’s transfer live blog Moxley wrote: “Roberts is currently undergoing a medical and, should he come through that, will be unveiled before the weekend.”
Following up on Twitter the reporter called the signing “imminent”.
Straight forward
Leeds United have moved on, not especially successfully, in the year since Roberts was last at Elland Road and his previous record of nine goals in over 100 appearances at the club suggests he needs a move.
So this deal looks like it makes sense for all parties and assuming there are no issues with the medical it appears it is about to be sealed.
What happens in West Yorkshire with the striker department is still largely dependent on who the club finally get in as the new manager.

Patrick Bamford remains the top striker, for now, but his injury record in the past couple of years has been miserable.
Rodrigo looks set to be off pretty soon [El Partidazo de COPE, 20 June], so that leaves a set of youngsters with varying levels of experience and expectation on them.
Georginio Rutter’s club-record deal last season proved to be pretty disastrous, but he has been tipped to remain for the Championship and could finally find his feet at Elland Road in the second tier, while Joe Gelhardt is back from loan at Sunderland with half a season in the division under his belt.
A new arrival this summer is certainly possible but it might be time for Sonny Perkins and Mateo Joseph to get a chance to see if their excellent under-21s scoring records will translate into senior football.
In other Leeds United news, a confirmed Elland Road appointment has left a BBC pundit with manager questions.
