Leeds United transfer news: Tyler Roberts exit update emerges amid Birmingham City talks
Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts is reportedly set to join EFL rivals Birmingham City after “positive” talks over a fee and add-ons.
According to the Athletic journalist Phil Hay [15 June], he will be leaving Elland Road permanently after spending a year on loan at QPR.
He is now deemed surplus to requirements and will be playing in the Championship next season, but for a different club.

Good riddance
It remains to be seen what transfer fee Leeds get for Roberts but it’s good that they have started to get their players off the books.
Roberts is not strengthening the playing eleven and sending him out on loan again does not really seem to help as he’s not been progressing.
Rather than having him for bench strength with him unlikely to get minutes on most occasions, the sensible thing to do was to sell him.

Birmingham are not at Leeds’ level and are not expected to compete for the top two spots next season so they can do with an attacker of his calibre.
What the Whites need are players who are at the Premier League level and they’ll be the ones which will help them get back.
This deal looks set to go ahead sooner or later and Leeds’ clearout for the summer has begun with many more exits to follow.
In other Leeds United news, a BBC pundit has been left stunned as Phil Hay has dropped a fresh update on who the Whites are considering bringing in as manager this summer.
