Leeds United transfer news: Permanent Luis Sinisterra lined up on Deadline Day amid surprise update at Bournemouth
Bournemouth want to sign Luis Sinisterra on a permanent deal from Leeds United on Deadline Day, according to TEAMtalk.
The outlet reported on their website on 1 February that Andoni Iraola has been impressed by the Colombian winger and is looking to get him sealed long-term now.
There is a £20million option in the 24-year-old’s loan switch to the Cherries, which was secured in controversial circumstances [Phil Hay, 1 September] in the hours after the summer window closed, with Jaidon Anthony coming the other way on loan.
But that clause only applies if the Whites fail to secure promotion to the Premier League so Bournemouth are tipped to need a “sizeable offer” to convince Daniel Farke to give the green light on a permanent move before the window shuts.
Surprise
After just 13 Premier League appearances, of which only three have been starts, it seems premature for Iraola to want to splash out big money on a permanent deal for a player he has in his squad for the next few months either way.
Given the fact that Angus Kinnear made public his dissatisfaction with Sinisterra and his agent’s tactics as they pushed to leave [Square Ball, 7 September] it would presumably be complicated for him to return to Elland Road at the end of the season even if Farke takes the Whites up.
The German did welcome Willy Gnonto back into the fold after he attempted to force through an exit of his own, so something similar with his fellow winger perhaps isn’t out of the question.
But a permanent exit at some point is probably more likely, so if the money is right today perhaps Leeds United might decide they can make use of it, even if there is precious little time to do so this window.
Crysencio Summerville and Dan James have emerged as undroppable stars out wide for Farke this season, but Sinisterra has arguably proved more than either in the Premier League as a Leeds player, in between injury lay-offs last season.

But if the Whites can make a profit on the £20m they spent to bring him in from Feyenoord two summers ago [The Athletic] and have the situation sorted ahead of time it might work in the club’s favour.
In other Leeds United news, a defender the Whites want to sign has seen his value shoot up in the past 48 hours.
