Leeds United transfer news: Leo Hjelde and Diogo Monteiro linked with Elland Road exit amid Andrea Radrizzani development
Leeds United duo Leo Hjelde and Diogo Monteiro are reportedly wanted by Andrea Radrizzani at Sampdoria this summer.
According to Il Sicolo XIX [03 July], Radrizzani completed his takeover of the Serie B club and signed an agreement to let the San Francisco 49ers take charge of Leeds.
He’s now eyeing moves for two of Leeds’ young players, one of whom in Monteiro who was signed in the 2023 January window while he also wants to sign Mateo Joseph.

Not happening
Radrizzani cannot have the Leeds youngsters just because he footed the bill to sign them at Elland Road.
With the takeover close to being done, he has no association with the club and will get a decent amount from the permanent sale.
He needs to stay away from the Whites’ talented players and the hierarchy must not allow him to unsettle the academy at the club.

The sooner the new manager is announced, the easier it will be for players to make a decision about their future one way or another.
Currently, Daniel Farke seems to be the man who will be taking over and he’s going to have a handful of players to discuss their futures.
Hopefully, he manages to convince the bulk of the first teamers to stay on for at least one more season but it is guaranteed that there will be exits.
In other Leeds United news, the club have been handed a boost to sign a Manchester United player this summer with Erik ten Hag likely to sanction his exit.
