Leeds United transfer news as Wilfried Gnonto pushing for exit already
Wilfried Gnonto is “hankering” for a move away from Leeds United already, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.
The teenage winger has been linked with a summer exit from Elland Road, with several Serie A clubs reportedly interested in his services [90min].
Gnonto was only a late substitute in the 6-1 Premier League loss to Liverpool on Monday (17 April), handed just over 10 minutes by Javi Gracia in the defeat.

“A few of the fans are pointing the finger of blame at the board, and I think the club has been run shambolically this season,” Crook said live on talkSPORT. “But what about that dressing room?
“Wilfried Gnonto, not in the starting lineup last night. My understanding is that he may well be hankering for a move away.”

Frustration building
It’s a very frustrating time for all associated with Leeds, with fans having hoped for a change from last season when they only just managed to stay in the top flight.
But the club find themselves in a very similar position this time around, with the Whites sitting 16th in the Premier League table.
They are just two points off the relegation zone and just six points off 20th place, with their goal difference taking a huge hit following 5-1 and 6-1 losses against Crystal Palace and Liverpool respectively.
If Leeds do go down, they look certain to lose a handful of senior stars, and Gnonto is probably at the very top of the list.
While there is room for improvement, the winger has impressed in his debut campaign in England and looks increasingly likely to further his talents elsewhere.
Many questions will be asked regarding his latest substitute appearance, with Gracia’s only excuse being that he is saving the young winger for the upcoming match against Crystal Palace.
In other Leeds United news, one pundit was “surprised” that Liverpool’s first goal against the Whites was allowed to stand given current interpretations of the handball law.
