Leeds United transfer news as twist emerges in pursuit to sign Swansea striker Joel Piroe
Joel Piroe does not want to sign a new deal at Swansea with Leeds United looking at the possibility of signing him, according to Wales Online.
The Welsh media outlet claims [20 July] that talks are now scheduled over the 23-year-old Dutchman leaving the club this summer.
The conversations will take place in the next 24 hours and a decision needs to be made given he’s got only a year left on his current deal.

Worth considering
Piroe won the Golden Boot award at the Under-19 EUROs in 2017 and his career has headed in the direction most would’ve thought.
After impressing for PSV’s youth side, he secured a move to the Welsh club where he’s relatively scoring in every other game.
These numbers are at a club that does not dominate most games and is not always the favourites whenever they step on the field of play.

Leeds, on the other hand, will be expected to win most, if not all their games as they’re an expensive squad with quality players in each department.
What they lack is a clinical goal scorer, especially with Rodrigo sealing a permanent exit to Al Rayyan.
Patrick Bamford’s form and fitness raises many doubts and Leeds need someone like Piroe to lead the line next season as they aim to return to the Premier League.
