Leeds United transfer news as Tottenham check Archie Gray and Morgan Gibbs-White in January
Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Leeds United prospect Archie Gray with a move in the summer transfer window in mind, according to Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported via its website [8 January] that Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham have been watching Leeds’ midfield prodigy, alongside Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White.
The 17-year-old has been one of Daniel Farke’s first names on the teamsheet, deputising at right-back in the absence of Jamie Shackleton, Stuart Dallas and Luke Ayling.

Generational talent
Gray has been a teenage sensation this season, starting 22 of the club’s 26 league matches so far, many of which have been from the right-back position.
It was reported that Liverpool were interested in the defensive midfielder. And there is no wonder why, pushing through every expected ceiling of him as of yet.
The 17-year-old looks like one of the most experienced players on the pitch, maintaining an 84 per cent pass completion, winning 68 per cent of his tackles (34), and making 14 clearances and 16 interceptions. [FotMob]
He also managed to register his first goal contribution for Leeds last month, assisting Crysencio Summerville’s breakaway goal against Blackburn Rovers in a 2-0 victory.

And until the Blackburn fixture, Gray had managed to escape any bookings for the Leeds senior team but is now sitting on two yellow cards.
Gray being sold to a Premier League club in the summer is a very real possibility, especially if Leeds are unable to reach promotion, although, this will not be what the Whites fans will want to hear.
However, with Spurs also targeting Gibbs-White from The City Ground, the hope will be that Postecoglou only feels the need to bring one of the midfield pair into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In other Leeds United news, one of the other loan departures is now under consideration to return this month and has been backed to thrive under Daniel Farke.
