Leeds United transfer news as Rasmus Kristensen tells Angus Kinnear he wants to stay
Rasmus Kristensen has told Angus Kinnear that he wants to stay at Leeds United next season, according to Leeds Live.
The 25-year-old joined the Whites from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg last summer for £10million, and was used sparingly alongside Luke Ayling.
The defender made 26 appearances in the Premier League this season as Leeds were relegated to the Championship.

“The Dane is understood to be one of those players who has already informed Angus Kinnear of his wish to stay and play next season,” according to Leeds Live.
Brave decision
It’s a brave decision from Kristensen to stay at Elland Road, with the easy way out perhaps on offer for the defender this summer, just as it is for many of his teammates.

While many Whites players will leave as they will feel they are above playing Championship football, Kristensen seemingly wants to give his all to help get the club back to where they belong.
He impressed at times in his debut campaign in England, but the tough tests will keep coming next season in a hugely competitive competition.
It could, of course, all pay off if the Dane was to help Leeds immediately bounce back to the top flight, with the club having every hope of staying there for good next time out if things go right behind the scenes this summer.
And if it does not quite go to plan, Kristensen can hold his head high and say that he did his best for the West Yorkshire outfit, with a transfer away from Elland Road then a very likely possibility.
In other Leeds United news, one youngster “will be kept” in the senior plans of the Whites next season.
