Leeds United transfer news as Liverpool enter race for Tyler Adams after Chelsea development

Liverpool have now turned their attention to Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams as Chelsea announced the signing of Moises Caicedo and close in on Romeo Lavia, per the Times.

According to the English newspaper on its website on Monday (14 August), the Southampton midfielder as well as the former Brighton star were on the Reds’ radar.

Adams, 24, who was ironically on Chelsea’s radar, is now a transfer target at Anfield this summer.

Tough luck

Leeds just cannot seem to catch a break this summer as a number of players are looking to leave or close to leaving.

Wilfried Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra too look like they’ve got one foot out of the door and Adams will leave if his relegation clause is triggered.

Fans would’ve been happy that a move to Chelsea fell through but now they have to worry about Liverpool’s interest.

John W. Henry, their owner, is an American billionaire and can easily trigger the release clause and offer him staggering wages.

A move to Anfield may be too good to turn down for the American and it remains to be seen whether or not that happens.

Leeds will be hoping that they can convince the midfielder to stay but they could be fighting a losing battle.

In other Leeds United news, the club could look to rekindle their interest in a Golden Boot winner who Daniel Farke will love and it will take £15million to get the deal done.
