The AD journalist provided the update via his personal Twitter page (24 August), revealing that the 24-year-old striker had already arrived in West Yorkshire to sign off on his switch from Swansea.

After discovering that Piroe is now in the city of Leeds, it seems his transfer is all but confirmed, and supporters of the Elland Road club can most likely expect that confirmation to arrive in the coming days. This news will come as some welcome positivity for Daniel Farke after a series of unfortunate events for the German.

Wilfried Gnonto’s dramatics, alongside multiple injuries and departures, has made life difficult for Farke during his first few months ar the club. This has led to a disappointing start to the Championship campaign, with the Whites winless in their opening three matches.

By bringing in Piroe they can certainly guarantee one thing, and that is goals. The striker has found the back of the net on 41 occasions in the Championship since arriving at Swansea, and fans in West Yorkshire will be hopeful that he continues in a similar vein of form.

In other Leeds United news, the club have made an approach to sign a forward who shares the same agent as Patrick Bamford.
