Leeds United transfer news as Everton and Fiorentina want Willy Gnonto immediately
Everton and Fiorentina both want to sign Leeds United wonder Willy Gnonto immediately, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The newspaper states [27 June, pg 10] that although Leeds’ demands for Gnonto are high, Everton and Fiorentina remain interested, with the former keen to keep him in England and the latter desiring to see him back in his home country of Italy.
Born in 2003, Gnonto is described as “an already mature player”, who left Inter’s youth setup to join Zurich before his eventual move to Leeds.

His age, along with that experience, is a combination that has seen his value rocket, with Gazzetta Dello Sport claiming “it is difficult to find an already so ready striker.”
The article also states that Gnonto should look to move on from Leeds as it would be “a shame” to see him playing in the Championship.
Take the money
A reported value of £30million for a Championship player, albeit one so talented, is extremely high.
Leeds won’t be keen on seeing one of their stars leave, but if that money can be invested wisely it could improve a squad that will be picked apart in the coming weeks.
Despite the winger’s talent, which would shine even brighter in the Championship, it seems as though this would be the right time for Leeds to cash in with interest from other clubs at a high.
Leeds also look set to lose Brenden Aaronson, with Georginio Rutter, Rodrigo and Tyler Adams all looking very likely to leave Elland Road, not all for big money, reinvesting the gains from Gnonto’s sale could be the smart move.
Looking at Burnley last season, they assembled a squad of new, talented players who were hungry for promotion following the Clarets’ drop from the Premier League. This should be the direction Leeds takes now.
