Leeds United transfer news as Crysencio Summerville ‘in the sights’ of Serie A club Bologna

Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville is “in the sights” of Serie A club Bologna, according to Calciomercato.

The publication reported on its website on Thursday (20 July) that Summerville is an option for the Italian club this summer.

The 21-year-old, who joined Leeds from Feyenoord in 2020, registered tallies of four goals and two assists in 28 Premier League matches last season.

Another potential exit

Leeds have already sanctioned several exits this summer as the club look to balance the books at Elland Road following their relegation from the Premier League.

The financial side of things, coupled with the fact that many senior players will not want to be playing in the English second division next season, has resulted in a handful of exits, both temporary and permanent.

Star forward Rodrigo has moved away on a permanent basis, with the likes of Robin Koch, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Brenden Aaronson all leaving Elland Road on loan.

And it seems that they could be joined by exciting young winger Summerville, who will definitely have plenty of suitors following his club’s relegation to the Championship.

The challenge manager Daniel Farke now has is maintaining the right balance in the squad, with Leeds perhaps not able to lose too many more players, particularly given how the new season is rapidly approaching.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites need to sell an “incredible” player first to fund a move for a multi-million European ace.
