Leeds United transfer news as Crysencio Summerville draws Everton interest

Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville appears poised to be a man in demand this summer with Everton also keen on signing him.

According to the Telegraph’s Mike McGrath, multiple clubs are now expected to enter the race with the Toffees to sign the Dutchman.

That’s because he’s set to feature in the Under-21 European Championships this summer and will be given a chance to showcase his skills.

Via Twitter, McGrath wrote, “LUFC forward Crysencio Summerville has interest (Feyenoord, Everton) + others expected to join race as he is at the U21 Euros where he can showcase.”

Must keep him

There could be other senior attackers that end up leaving Elland Road this summer so Leeds must try and keep their younger players at the club.

Summerville did get a decent amount of game time in the 2022/23 season and is likely to be a first-team regular in the Championship.

There’s a good chance that Willy Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra look for a way out while Jack Harrison too has been linked with an exit even when Leeds were in the Premier League.

It remains to be seen if a move to Everton tempts him or if he’s happy staying for a year at Leeds and helping them fight for promotion.

Other clubs are poised to enter the race and it could be interesting if they can offer big money for his services.

Every player has his price and if the Whites get an offer which is too good to turn down, they may end up cashing in on his services.

In other Leeds United news, a BBC pundit has been left stunned as Phil Hay has dropped a fresh update on who the Whites are considering bringing in as manager this summer.
