Leeds United transfer news as club may engage with Nicolo Zaniolo today
Leeds United may return to the transfer table for AS Roma maestro Nicolo Zaniolo in the next few hours, according to Retesport.
After the Whites had their first loan attempt knocked back by Roma for Zaniolo’s services it seems the club may launch an “Extremis” permanent offer.
The report claims that Leeds United now have a good relationship with Roma following the Diego Llorente negotiations which will see the defender join the Italian giants before the deadline.
“After the first loan attempt with the right to buy, the English club – thanks to the good relations with Roma following the Llorente operation – could in the next few hours try to sign the Giallorossi number 22 on a permanent basis, who in the meantime has transferred in La Spezia with the family,” as quoted by retesport. (31 January)
This transfer story is gathering pace and will certainly be one to watch for the Elland Road faithful over the course of the next 14 hours.

One to watch.
Just when you thought things couldn’t get much better, Llorente leaving Elland Road, McKennie joining the engine room ranks and now a potential deal for Zaniolo.
What a window to be a Leeds United fan and this month has been an enjoyable one to witness, can the Whites get one more signing over the line?
It’s looking likely that they may just do that, especially when you consider the strong contacts and relationships Andrea Radrizanni has in his home country.
This may be the pulling factor in this transfer story and the reason behind Zaniolo choosing the project at Leeds United over other offers he has received.
Whether Leeds cough up cash for a permanent transfer remains to be seen but considering the money they have already spent this window it’s hard to see them doing so.
Although, the Whites’ constant flexing in this month’s transfer window suggests that they might have more readily available funds than fans thought.
