Leeds United transfer news as club make deadline day approach for Nicolò Zaniolo

Leeds United have made a deadline-day transfer move for AS Roma maestro Nicolo Zaniolo, according to Gianluca DiMarzio.

Nevertheless, the loan deal Leeds United has offered the Italian giants for Zaniolo has been rejected as they want a permanent deal.

The report claims that Jose Mourinho’s Roma want £24.1m for their attacking star and 10% of any future sale of Zaniolo if they are to let him go today.

“Zaniolo again at the centre of the market,” as quoted by Gianluca DiMarzio. (31 January)

“After Roma announced that they had excluded the midfielder from the technical project, another offer has arrived for the player. In fact, an attempt by Leeds to get to Nicolò Zaniolo. In an attempt to take advantage of the total break with the Giallorossi, the English club has offered a loan deal.

“Roma confirmed that the player can only leave on a permanent basis and that his price tag is valued at 27.5 million euros and 10% on future resale (the same figures offered by Bournemouth, a destination already rejected by Zaniolo). The offer has so far been rejected.”

Leeds United

Going for it.

In what has been the best transfer window in recent memory for Leeds United, they are absolutely going all out for it in January this year.

The Roma midfielder would be a fantastic addition to the squad and pulling this one off would be a massive coup for the Whites.

Having secured Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie, it looks like Leeds are heading back into Serie A to try their luck again today on deadline day.

It’s not yet clear whether Leeds United will head back to Roma with a new and improved bid having had their initial loan offer rejected.

But there has been a bit of noise around a Zaniola move for some weeks now, so it would be hardly surprising if the Whites were able to pull this one off.

Fasten your seatbelts Leeds fans, today is going to be an interesting and eventful one full of twists and turns.
