Leeds United transfer news as another defender on cards after Joe Rodon move
Leeds United could yet sign another defender after their loan move for Tottenham enforcer Joe Rodon, according to Phil Hay.
The Athletic journalist shared the news of the imminent arrival of the Welshman, with Liam Cooper’s injury forcing the Whites into action at Elland Road.
It is suggested that Liverpool defender Nat Phillips could still arrive in West Yorkshire between now and the end of the current window.
He wrote: “Leeds United lining up Tottenham centre-back Joe Rodon on a season’s loan.
“Numbers reduced at CB after Liam Cooper’s injury. Door still open to possibility that another CB arrives. Been looking at Nat Phillips.”

Smart.
This would certainly be welcomed given that Rodon joins only Pascal Struijk and Charlie Cresswell as available options at the back for Daniel Farke.
It should not be an immediate priority though, with the potential for a late move if Phillips becomes available at Anfield and they try to ship him away.
There are more immediate worries in the squad than central defence should Rodon arrive, with a new number nine, attacking midfielder and left-back also needed.
Injuries are already playing a huge part in this season with only one game played so far, with that making a move for Rodon even more urgent, so anything can happen.
Farke will be hoping to avoid more knocks while bringing in numerous new faces as soon as he possibly can, but they have to be the right players, not one that is rushed.
This is certainly one to watch as the window goes on.
