Leeds training video on YouTube details work underway at Thorp Arch
Leeds United share a weekly YouTube video of their squad training in preparation for their next Premier League game.
The Whites were full of smiles in this week’s edition, with new signing Diego Llorente in the thick of the action since arriving from Real Sociedad.
Pablo Hernandez and Adam Forshaw were nowhere to be seen, as the midfield duo continue their rehabilitation into the international break.
One thing that caught the eye was actually a matter off the pitch.
The main pitch at Thorp Arch, usually used by the under-23s in their games has been fenced off with plenty of workmen present at the training ground.
It looked as though there were plenty of upgrades being made, with there potentially being a new pitch being laid under the supervision of Marcelo Bielsa likely.
The under-23s were on the far pitch for their Premier League 2 clash against Middlesbrough on Friday, another sign work was being done on the usual pitch.
Bielsa has made many changes to the training ground since he arrived, including new sleeping quarters, a running track and the reopening of the swimming pool.
Leeds players will admit that they’ve been transformed by their head coach though, and these new developments have played massive parts in that.
Luke Ayling claimed that he once asked if he could rest at home rather than at the training ground, a request that was denied – something he now admits he agrees with after gruelling double sessions.
Time will tell what work is being done, but one thing is sure, nothing is consistently the same when Bielsa is around.
