Leeds United tracking PSV Eindhoven English winger Noni Madueke
Leeds United are tracking PSV Eindhoven’s English winger Noni Madueke despite being interested in his teammate Cody Gakpo according to 90min.
The Whites had been credited with an interest in Madueke’s teammate Gakpo, with Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink reporting on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday 28 June, that Leeds are “in talks” with the 23-year-old.
However, 90min has reported on Wednesday 29 June, that Leeds are also “tracking” 20-year-old Madueke along with Premier League sides Tottenham, Newcastle, Leicester, Wolves and Everton.
It has been suggested by 90min that PSV expect one of Gakpo or Madueke to leave the club this summer.
Madueke managed nine goals and six assists in all competitions in the 2021/22 season and has previously been on the books of Tottenham and Crystal Palace.

It is clear that Gakpo is further on in his development than Madueke, and the Dutch 23-year-old would certainly fit the bill for a Raphinha replacement, if and when the Brazilian departs the club.
However, Madueke has enjoyed a good season in Holland and with the English winger still only 20, there is plenty of chance for the youngster to develop and become an asset for Jesse Marsch and Victor Orta.
Madueke would certainly be more of a stab in the dark and shouldn’t be viewed as a Raphinha replacement, but if the Whites could secure a reasonable price for the winger then a move is certainly worth a shot.
The fact that a host of Premier League clubs are chasing the winger should indicate that he is clearly a talented player and could well develop further.
Madueke would thrive at Elland Road with the Whites not afraid to give youth a chance with Joe Gelhardt, Lewis Bate and Pascal Struijk all thriving in the 2021/22 season.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are working on a quickfire signing to replace Raphinha with talks underway.
