Leeds United told to increase offer for Lewis O’Brien
Leeds United have been told to offer more for Lewis O’Brien, according to a tweet from Alan Nixon on his Twitter account.
The Sun journalist claims that if the Whites want to sign the 22-year-old from Huddersfield Town, they “need to offer a better deal”.
The Terriers are said to want £10million for O’Brien, and it appears as if the Whites have offered less than that and as it stands, the central midfielder will not be moving to Elland Road unless Leeds come back with a better offer [the Sun].
O’Brien to stay at Huddersfield?
It is unclear how much Leeds offered to take O’Brien, but he is clearly a player who the Whites are keen on signing.
Marcelo Bielsa was spotted watching the 22-year-old on Sunday, and after the match, Carlos Corberan insisted that his team didn’t want to sell O’Brien [LeedsLive].
However, if that fee of £10million is matched, it is hard to see how the former Leeds Under-23 manager could stop O’Brien. As it stands, he is still Huddersfield’s player, and it seems as if the Whites need to come up with a better offer to convince them to part ways with O’Brien.

Leeds don’t have that many options in the central areas, and O’Brien has played 80 games in the Championship and is still very young, so could add some more energy to Leeds’ midfield.
£10million for a young English player is not really that much, and we think that if Leeds have the money, they should go all out and bring O’Brien to Elland Road.
Certainly, this saga seems like one to keep an eye on, and we hope that it ends positively for the Whites.
In other Leeds United news, the club could be set to lose a youngster to an EFL club.
