Leeds United to wait ‘until the last moment’ to make team news decision v Leicester City

Leeds United will wait until the last moment to make a decision on whether to start Sam Byram, Joe Rodon and Crysencio Summerville against Leicester.

Writing on their website (3 November), talkSPORT report that the trio were withdrawn against Huddersfield due to injury and have been doubts for the game on Friday night all week.

And now Daniel Farke will “leave it until the last moment” to decide if he will pick them to start in the top of the Championship clash at the King Power Stadium.

“Leeds will leave it until the last moment to decide if Sam Bryam, Joe Rodon or Crysencio Summerville will player after the trio were withdrawn against Huddersfield,” they wrote.

Surprise

It would be quite a surprise if any of the three Leeds players were to miss out on the game after Daniel Farke’s comments during his pre-game press conference this week.

The boss admitted he was “carefully optimistic” that Rodon would be fit to play after he trained despite hobbling off with a hamstring problem against Huddersfield and said that unless there was a reaction in training that all three players would be available.

But having said that, he would be silly to give away too much before such a big game especially when there is a chance they could all make it too.

Summerville has been in terrific form recently despite playing with painkillers and shoulder strapping, while Byram’s fitness has improved greatly since he joined and the time frame between games shouldn’t be a problem anymore.

However if any of them are missing it would be a huge blow, and hopefully Farke is able to pick all three to start if he wants them in his team.
