Leeds United to pay Bayern Munich £1.1m after every 25 games for Marc Roca

Leeds United are reportedly due a fee in the region of £1.1million due to their agreement with Bayern Munich.

According to German media outlet Bild, Bayern chief Hasan Salihamidzic has guaranteed that the club will receive that amount after every 25 games Marc Roca plays for the Whites.

Leeds secured the services of the midfielder and will now have to pay that amount until a total of £4.2million is reached.

Good arrangement?

Transfer fees are broken down into different instalments and clauses these days so that there’s not too much pressure put on the buying club.

Shelling out eight figures at one go may be daunting for clubs like Leeds who have not established themselves as Premier League regulars.

Bayern aren’t a club in dire straits so they’ll agree to this deal as they’ll make more over three years than they would if they received it all at once.

Leeds could also chalk out a payment structure to repay the Bavarians which should not be particularly difficult if they avoid relegation.

In case they do, rather than keeping him on and not playing him, we could even see them cashing in on his services and then different agreements come into the picture.

As things stand, we cannot wait to see him in action and hopefully he goes on to have a stellar career at Elland Road.
