Leeds United to make decision on Liam Cooper fitness ahead of Liverpool clash
Leeds United are set to make a decision on Liam Cooper’s fitness with the central defender a doubt for the Whites’ fixture against Liveprool.
Jesse Marsch is facing an injury crisis with Joe Gelhardt, Rodrigo, Luis Sinnisterra, Leo Hjelde and Tyler Adams all doubts for the game (The Athletic’s Phil Hay, 27 October).
Adam Forshaw and Stuart Dallas are also missing with a decision yet to be made on whether Cooper can feature against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Brutal
That is a brutal injury list for the American to contend with, considering he is already under immense pressure at Elland Road.
Liverpool is far from the most ideal place for any underfire manager to go and get a result. For the moment, Marsch does have his allies at the club and has been given the backing to turn things around. A point at Anfield would do wonders to help the American’s cause ahead of what could well be a win-or-bust game for Marsch at home to Bournemouth.

The Whites will be absolutely desperate for at least two or three of their doubts to be fit for Saturday evening’s clash on Merseyside.
It is clear Marsch hasn’t got this team performing to the levels required at the moment, but it’s hard not to have sympathy for him at the moment with his squad completely decimated by injury.
Leeds face also Wolves and Tottenham in what could be a defining run before the World Cup break.
In other Leeds United news, Marsch has been told to enter quiet talks with the PGMOL after Jeff Stelling made an accusation.
