Leeds United to finalise Raphinha paperwork today for Barcelona move, medical this week

Leeds United and Barcelona are set to finalise the paperwork today for the monster transfer of Raphinha, according to CBS Sports.

The American outlet has reported on their website that the deal was finalised on Sunday evening, with the Elland Road bank now set for a monster new injection.

It is shared that the Brazilian will jet out to Barcelona for his medical at some stage this week, with this whole transfer saga finally set to end in the coming days.

Leeds have dealt with Barcelona superbly.

The Whites have rejected numerous proposals and have made the Catalan club come up with bigger guaranteed payments, with rightly numerous concerns over instalments.

Barcelona will still break up their payment plan for the Brazilian, but no doubt they will have been pushed to come up with a bigger and better initial fee.

With that paid upfront, Victor Orta is now set to be truly unleashed in the hunt for a new striker.

Finally.

Leeds have been superb in this negotiation, and for once, they have stood their ground.

Andrea Radrizzani has to be praised alongside Angus Kinnear and Orta, as the rest of the squad jets out to Australia to complete the majority of their pre-season work.

The Whites have not stood still in their pursuits while waiting for Raphinha to sort out his future, or other clubs to sort out their bank accounts to get a deal done.

Six new signings are already through the door, and it looks as though this money for the Brazilian will create the chance for another blockbuster new arrival.

With a new number nine wanted at Elland Road, there is nothing stopping Orta and the club from going out and getting that, and we could even see them in Australia if things move smoothly.

Raphinha’s reign at Elland Road was short-lived, but he will certainly be remembered for some brilliant memories from his two-year stint in West Yorkshire, and for that, we thank him.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites now want to sign this striker with a rival set to kickstart a major £30million+ transfer battle
