Leeds United are set to battle AC Milan all over again to sign another attacker as they look at RB Salzburg striker Noah Okafor, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian outlet has reported on its website that the Swiss sensation is on the radar of both clubs, as he scored yet again in the Champions League on Wednesday.

One of the biggest headline grabbers over the summer was AC Milan beating Leeds to Charles De Ketelaere, something they won’t want to happen again.

Leeds have been linked with Okafor for quite some time now, and it is no surprise given that the need for a number nine certainly hasn’t disappeared.

Calciomercato interestingly reports that if AC Milan want to sign him too, they have to get past Leeds first, which could suggest that the Whites are ahead.

Victor Orta obviously already has that relationship with RB Salzburg which could help after signing Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen over the summer.

Get it done.

Leeds and Orta need to move early to get this one over the line.

Okafor is catching the eye every single week in the Champions League and it won’t be long before others such as AC Milan are also interested in a move.

The Swiss international will want a big move and the Premier League offers that, and the money to go along with it, something De Ketelaere was interested in before Milan.

Orta and Andrea Radrizzani will know that they simply have to pay up on the asking price once it comes rather than mess around, especially when others are interested.

It was made clear over the last summer that Milan had financial constraints, so that may play into our favour this time around, something we have to take advantage of.

Patrick Bamford is picking up constant injuries, Rodrigo has had his fare share of issues too, so more experienced options in the final third will be critical.

In other Leeds United news, this player could be first in the Elland Road boardroom as new contract talks may take centre stage
