Leeds United tipped to reject Tyler Adams £30m transfer offer

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United

Paul Robinson has tipped Leeds United to reject a £30million offer for midfielder Tyler Adams during the summer transfer window.

According to The Telegraph on 8 June, Newcastle are interested in the 24-year-old midfielder, who is valued in the region of £30million.

Despite the interest, Robinson believes – with new investment – Leeds can reject any approaches for the American midfielder.

“I hope they would be able to turn a fee down. I hope that can rebuff most offers if they don’t want a player to leave,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

“Regardless of whether a club can rebuff offers or not it’s down to a player and their own personal ambition. You look at Declan Rice at West Ham, he turned down a big contract two years ago of £200,000-a-week.

“You look at that and add up. People will say he’s greedy for not taking it and wanting more, he’s not. He stayed for two years and walked away from £10million.

“There’s more than just an offer. The player has to have to drive and ambition to stay at the club as well.”

Adams only joined Leeds last summer and is contracted to the club until the summer of 2027.
