Leeds United team news v Southampton today ahead of Premier League clash
Leeds United duo Marc Roca and Pascal Struijk should at least feature in Javi Gracia’s match-day squad to face Southampton on Saturday (25 February) after returning from injuries, according to the Daily Mail.
Left-back Struijk hasn’t been available for the Whites in recent games due to a concussion but is set to return, while Roca has been out of action since the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest – Jesse Marsch’s last game in charge.
However, the Daily Mail (Saturday 25 February) has reported that new manager Gracia may be boosted by the return of the first-team pair for the showdown against relegation rivals Southampton, while five players remain out injured.
“Marc Roca and Pascal Struijk should return to the squad at least,” they wrote.
“Out: Rodrigo, Archie Gray (both ankle), Stuart Dallas (thigh), Max Wober (shoulder), Adam Forshaw (groin).”

Both Roca and Struijk proved themselves as integral cogs to Marsch’s plans at Elland Road, and considering Max Wober is set to miss out on the match, the Dutchman’s return is even more important.
If he is fit enough, Struijk will certainly come straight into the team despite a recent run of games for Junior Firpo. The Spanish full-back unfortunately can’t be trusted to deliver consistent performances, and in a crucial game such as this, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him go missing once more.
In midfield, Roca could face more of a battle for his position, with Weston McKennie settling into life at Elland Road following his January move to West Yorkshire. Despite this, Roca’s Premier League experience could prove vital in the latter stages of the match if Leeds are trying to hold onto a lead, so his inclusion is a major positive for Gracia.
Hopefully, both players will be fit enough to provide Gracia with some added selection dilemmas for the imperative clash against the Saints.
