Leeds United team news v Sheffield United in new Daniel James update
Daniel Farke could welcome Daniel James and Manor Solomon back from injury when Leeds United face Sheffield United, according to LeedsLive.
The outlet reported on 7 October that James and Solomon are in line to ease the injury crisis when the Whites take on Sheffield United at Elland Road after the international break.
With Farke hopeful that both wingers will be back in time to take on the Blades on 18 October, James is set to continue his recovery from a hamstring issue during the break at Thorp Arch.
Solomon, meanwhile, has been named in Israel’s squad for their international fixtures against France and Italy, and any involvement in those two matches will be an encouraging sign for Farke.
Daniel Farke given huge Daniel James boost at Leeds United
For all the plaudits earned by the likes of Wilfried Gnonto so far this season, as well as the now-departed Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, one player has shone to much less fanfare.
Welsh international James’ numbers last season may have trailed Summerville’s but he was on a par with Rutter and far outweighed Gnonto’s attacking output as the Whites went within a whisker of promotion.

His spot on the right flank looked beyond question at the start of the new campaign, particularly with Gnonto moving left into a more central role, but his hamstring problems have hindered this.
New signing Largie Ramazani’s emergence as a consistent source of goals in James’ absence means the 26-year-old won’t have an easy route back into the side, but Farke will certainly be glad to see him back.
Facing an unbeaten Sheffield United side with the best defence in the league means Farke needs all the attacking firepower he can muster, and with James and Solomon in tow, the Whites will have plenty.
