Leeds United target Charles De Ketelaere set to undergo AC Milan medical this weekend
Leeds United target and Club Brugge forward Charles De Ketelaere is reportedly set to undergo his AC Milan medical this weekend.
According to Belgian media outlet Het Belang van Limburg (July 30, page 19), the 21-year-old will complete all his formalities and he will seal his move to the San Siro.
A fee of £29.4million has been agreed and Brugge will be earning lesser from this than they would had they accepted the club-record offer submitted by Leeds.
Leeds wasted the better part of the last two months chasing a player who never really wanted to join them in the first place.
They should’ve moved on sooner than they eventually did and now that he’s set to have his medical this weekend, he’s no longer a possibility.
The Whites also seem unlikely to sign Arnaud Kaliumendo from PSG so that’s a double transfer blow and one they need to quickly move on from.
Victor Orta will surely have done his due diligence and we expect him to put more names on the shortlist sooner rather than later.
Not just a striker, Leeds also need to sign a new left-back and this is the final week in which they can do it before the season begins.
The window will still remain open but it does make sense to have the new signings through the door before a ball is kicked in the Premier League campaign.
