Leeds United target Charles De Ketelaere misses training as Brugge exit looks set
Leeds United target Charles De Ketelaere reportedly misses training as his Club Brugge exit looks to be set in stone.
According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the 21-year-old appears set to be moving to Milan for a fee just under 30million.
While Brugge have not yet accepted it, there is a feeling that they will give in to the player’s will and accept the final offer from the Serie A champions.
Via Twitter, Tavolieri wrote, “DeKetelaere not present today at the training centre. The 2 clubs are close. The parties are waiting for #Clubbrugge ‘s response to the final offer of 32M € + bonus made by #ACMilan, who no longer wants to outbid. The player wants to go to #Milan. Moneytime.”
This is undoubtedly a blow for Leeds who have spent the better part of the last two months chasing a player who was never keen on moving to Elland Road.
They hoped that Milan would not be able to come up with the funds and there’s still a chance of that happening.
If Brugge say no to this offer, that should end their interest, but then we doubt that agreeing on personal terms is going to be easy for Leeds.
Milan’s owners have made it clear that they’re not going to be increasing their budget for this deal while we’re expecting Leeds to do everything they can to convince him should this move fall through.
