Leeds United target Brenden Aaronson unlikely to cost £30million
Leeds United target and Red Bull Salzburg attacker Brenden Aaronson is unlikely to cost £30million according to LeedsLive’s Joe Donnohue.
According to the Daily Mail, the Whites have named the 21-year-old as their top transfer target for the January transfer window.
They have seen an initial £15million bid turned down, but his valuation is not expected to be twice that amount.

Donnohue wrote, “The Austrian heavyweights have recently sold Erling Haaland, Patson Daka, Dominik Szoboszlai and Enock Mwepu for between £20-30 million, although Aaronson is unlikely to cost the £30 million commanded from Leicester City for star striker Daka.”
£20million to seal the deal?
While Salzburg are yet to name a price, their entire model operates on grooming young players and selling them on heavy profits.
As mentioned with the players above, they’ve all been signed for relative pittances and sold for eight-figure transfer fees.
Aaronson is definitely one such player who could fetch them a lot of money and they will expect Leeds to return with an improved offer in the near future.

Whether or not they could offer more remains to be seen, but given their desperation to sign an attacking midfielder, they’re unlikely to stop at just one bid.
Marcelo Bielsa has been eyeing an eight or a ten for the last two summer windows and the club have let him down with their failure to bring anyone through the door.
At least now, they appear to be making some moves and that could be seen as a sign of progress.
