Leeds United target Brenden Aaronson ready to take step up in the summer

RB Salzburg attacker Brenden Aaronson is reportedly ready to take the step up in the summer amid links to Leeds United.

According to Austrian media outlet Salzburger Nachrichten (26/01/2022. pg 16), Leeds are preparing a second offer for the 21-year-old in January, but Salzburg are unwilling to let him leave.

Sporting Director Christoph Freund has claimed that no player will be leaving in the transfer window, but a move away from Austria is on the cards for the United States international as he looks to make the step up in his career.

Snap him up

Aaronson appears to be someone who’s been tracked by the Leeds hierarchy, given that they’ve prepared two bids already.

This has been a transfer link that’s gone under the radar and that’s testament to what a tight-knit group it is at Elland Road.

While Leeds desperately need someone in January, Aaronson is a good long-term option.

That’s precisely why they must not give up on their pursuit to secure the player’s services in six months’ time.

Hopefully, by then, there are not any more clubs that are keen on securing his services as it could spark a bidding war, which would not be ideal for the Whites.

Salzburg are a club that signs players on the cheap and sells them for higher profits and they could like to drive up the American’s price as much as they possibly can.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay issues a major January update amid recent development that would certainly be exciting for the Elland Road faithful.
