The reports further stated that Wolves will be willing to accept an offer of £10million for the winger this summer.

Threatening

Traore is arguably one of the few attacking players in the world who has always been a threat for the opposition’s defenders despite not being a prolific goal contributor throughout his career.

In his six seasons in the Premier League with Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Wolves respectively, the Spaniard International has failed to get into the double-figures in goals tally for the season.

He spent the second-half of the last season on loan at FC Barcelona where he provided four assists but didn’t score a single goal in 17 appearances at the Camp Nou [Transfermarkt].

His most productive goal-scoring season was in 2019-20 when he found the back of the net six times, including a brace against the league winners champions Manchester City.

Despite not being that productive recently, Traore is still the kind of player that raises alarm bells in the opposition defender’s minds.

After losing someone like Raphinha already, there is definite room for a player who would take the opposition on and Traore might prove to be just that for the Whites.
