Leeds United Supporters’ Trust to meet with club over ‘concerning’ development
Leeds United Supporters’ Trust has confirmed that a meeting has been granted with the club after airing its concerns over the latest goings on at Elland Road.
The fan body announced in a statement on Sunday [13 August] that it had reached out to the club in order to “get an understanding of what is happening”.
That came on the back of reports Jack Harrison was close to joining Everton, with that move officially going through on Monday [14 August], while the futures of Tyler Adams, Luis Sinisterra and Willy Gnonto also remain unclear.
In an update posted on Twitter on Monday [14 August], the Supporters’ Trust said: “We’re meeting with the club later this week. We’ve got the main feedback from fans as discussion points.”
New signings needed
Leeds fans have every right to feel concerned a little over a week into the campaign, having collected just one point from games against Cardiff City and Birmingham City, as well as seeing another key first-team player depart.
Harrison is not likely to be the final player to leave Elland Road this window, either, as Gnonto has refused to play in United’s past two matches amid interest from Everton, while Sinisterra and Adams also seemingly have their sights set on a top-flight return.

For all the talk of further incoming activity, with Aston Villa’s Cameron Archer the latest to be linked [Last Word On Sports], fans want action to be taken before it is too late – and ideally before Friday’s visit of West Brom.
The Supporters’ Trust will get the chance to ask questions of those high up at the club this week, potentially helping to ease growing tensions.
Regardless of what comes out of the meeting, though, nothing will get supporters back on board quite like a new arrival at Elland Road.
In other Leeds United news, Feyenoord are now reportedly in the running to sign Sinisterra.
