Leeds United slammed over ‘disappointing’ new announcement
Leeds United supporters are more nervous than ever as the race for Premier League promotion hits boiling point in the Championship.
The Whites appeared to be cruising towards the top-flight when they beat promotion rivals Sunderland and Sheffield United back in February.
However, the Elland Road club have subsequently endured a run in which they have won just one of their last five games.
Such poor form means that Farke’s former league leaders have slipped behind Sheffield United and are now level on points with third-place Burnley.

Leeds United supporters concerned by ticket price rises
Leeds have now announced their ticket prices for next term, indicating that the base price of an adult season ticket has risen by 14 per cent, with the price of the lowest adult ticket changing from £434 to £495.
Opponent | Result |
Portsmouth (A) | 1-0 L |
Millwall (H) | 2-0 W |
QPR (A) | 2-2 D |
Swansea (H) | 2-2 D |
The Leeds United Supporters Trust responded via a statement: “While we acknowledge that the club have engaged with us directly ahead of the announcement, it is disappointing that they took away the feedback, but haven’t acted on any of it, which was not the outcome we wanted.
“Season ticket and match day ticket price increases are never welcomed, particularly during times of continued widespread economic pressures.”
Meanwhile, Lord John Mann, chair of the Leeds United Supporters Club, told Leeds Live: “People would be a bit annoyed if we’re in the Championship, but if we get promoted, most people were expecting this.
“If the club starts to dwindle away because we are not promoted and are stuck in the Championship, then people will be more discerning.
“Some of the decisions will start to backfire, especially if we don’t have young kids going in and we have empty seats.”

Leeds must get back on form
It is understandable that Leeds supporters are unhappy with the announcement that season ticket prices will be more expensive next season, especially while the Whites are on poor form.
Currently, there is a serious possibility that Farke’s men could drop out of the automatic promotion spots and into the playoffs, which would be a difficult outcome to come to terms with.
The Elland Road faithful would have expected their side to lift the Championship title this term after their statement wins over Sheffield United and Sunderland.
Furthermore, the Whites have earned some emphatic victories, such as their 4-0 triumph over Watford on 11 February and their 7-0 win against Cardiff.
Leeds have scored a whopping 78 goals this term, boasting by far the best attack in the Championship, but if Farke and Co do not get back to winning ways, they will be pipped to a top-two spot by Burnley.
If Premier League football is secured, most will forget about these price rises, but miss out for a second time, and you can expect anger from the stands.
