Leeds United were somewhat surprisingly linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley on Monday morning.

90min reported that the Whites, along with Newcastle and Burnley were plotting a January move for the Stamford Bridge outcast.

All three are said to be very keen and are ready to make offers for the England international who is surely certain to leave.

Barkley has never had a look in under Thomas Tuchel since the German arrived in London, and that is no surprise.

After going to Aston Villa on loan last season, the playmaker didn’t do enough to secure a permanent switch to the midlands.

It couldn’t have been down to financial reasons either, given the £100million Villa received for Jack Grealish.

There had to have been another reason with the attitude and fitness of Barkley regularly questioned by many throughout his career.

Marcelo Bielsa runs his players into the ground, and there are severe questions behind whether Barkley could do that if he moved for a second career stint at Elland Road.

We asked our MOT Super Fans over on Facebook whether they would welcome this move and the response was overwhelming.

Some questioned the link, but these fans clearly would welcome Barkley with open arms with much-needed reinforcements needed.
