Leeds United Super Fans react to Kristoffer Klaesson update
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds United Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Leeds Insider Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road.
Valerenga goalkeeper Kristoffer Klassen was on his way to England to complete his medical and sign for Leeds United, according to journalist Wegard Bakkehaug.
The VG journalist, on Saturday, reported via his personal Twitter account, that the Whites have reached an agreement to pay £2million plus additional bonuses to bring the 20-year-old keeper to Elland Road this summer.
After the departure of Kiko Casilla on loan to Elche, Leeds have identified him as the ideal replacement, and he’s on the cusp of completing his move.
Leeds have swiftly gone on about their business this summer and look set to finalise this signing in the coming days.
Clubs tend to have senior pros as their backup goalkeepers as their experience can rub off on the youngsters, but Marcelo Bielsa opted to go for someone who’s only 20-years-old.
Whites fans took to Facebook to discuss the imminent arrival of the Norweigian.
Here’s what they said:

While it would’ve been nice to have a senior like Sergio Romero be the backup, it’s not the worst thing in the world for Klaesson to walk through the door.
He’s clearly rated highly in Norway and by the Leeds hierarchy so why should we question their decisions as there’s obviously some groundwork that’s gone behind signing the player.
The 20-year-old has made over 50 appearances in the Norwegian top-flight for Valerenga so it’s not like we’ve taken a punt on someone unproven.
He may not be the best in terms of his ball-playing abilities, but given the time, he can certainly get there and be among the best.
