‘It’s a steal’, ‘Fully on board’ – Leeds Super Fans deliver verdict on major summer transfer
Leeds United were hit with the news that January signing Jean-Kevin Augustin has suffered yet another injury blow before the Championship restart.
The RB Leipzig loanee has reportedly suffered a recurrence of the hamstring injury he had in March, with Phil Hay suggesting that the Frenchman may not feature again this season.
Tyler Roberts is looking sharper than ever in training, with Patrick Bamford ready to lead the line for the remaining games of the campaign.
There were suggestions that Augustin could be sent back to Germany, but the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth put an end to those rumours.
Smyth reported that the striker is being assessed at Thorp Arch and the extent of the injury is still not known.
Augustin hasn’t had the greatest starts to life at Elland Road and has only completed 49 minutes of action in the Championship.
Leeds have the option to turn his move permanent at the end of the season, with BILD claiming it would cost the Whites £17.7million.
We asked our esteemed panel of Super Fans about this latest blow, and whether or not they would cancel the obligation to buy for the 22-year-old.
