Leeds still very keen on signing Adama Traore, Wolves want to sell – report

Leeds United are still “very keen” on signing Wolves winger Adama Traore, according to online outlet 90min.

Bruno Lage has just been appointed at Molineux but has been told he must sell players in order to bring in targets of his own in this window.

Traore and Ruben Neves have been classed as two of his highest-value players, with both likely to move on throughout the summer.

The incredibly strong winger is currently away with Spain at EURO 2020, but it appears as though that won’t hamper things.

Both Traore and Wolves are happy to move on and cut ties, leaving Leeds in the driving seat to complete a deal if they like.

Liverpool are also mentioned as potential suitors, although it is the Whites who are looking like they are out in front on this one.

Given that Wolves are desperate to raise funds, it could open the door for Victor Orta to sell a cheaper deal after he worked with the winger at Middlesbrough.

Key.

Orta will be integral to any deal that could be struck between the two clubs this summer, and his close relationship with the player could swing it in our direction.

Wolves legend Steve Bull recently labelled the 25-year-old as a “world-beater” before going on to insist that he would never move to Elland Road.

Let’s look at the facts, Wolves are spiralling down and clearly have financial issues if they need to sell players, whereas the Whites secured top-half football, have Bielsa in charge, and are on the up.

We know which one we would choose.

Bielsa would likely transform Traore too, bringing down his weight, and adding more final product to his game, as he can play anywhere down the right.

Who wouldn’t want to be coached by the best? Traore could shine at the EUROs, although that would see his price rise, so we hope this deal can be concluded sooner rather than later if this interest is serious.
