Leeds United still looking to strengthen in January, prepared to be patient – Dharmesh Sheth

Leeds United are prepared to be patient with any major January signings this month, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports journalist insisted live on air this evening (6 January) that the Whites are still plotting to strengthen this month.

Angus Kinnear has fired a warning to fans at Elland Road, admitting it is always hard to do business this month.

Speaking on Sky Sports Transfer Show this evening (06/01), Sheth shares what he has been told about the transfer dealings at Elland Road.

“Leeds United still looking to strengthen,” he said.

“But, they are prepared to be patient in this window.”

Leeds United

Patient, Victor.

Victor Orta always plans months in advance and will have had a list of names ready to go as soon as the window opens.

Unfortunately, it isn’t that easy and those players may not be available or may cost far too much given it is midway through the season.

Midfield is the area everyone wants to be reinforced given the injuries to Kalvin Phillips, and that has to be the main priority.

Sheth’s latest update on the situation makes it sound as though nothing is imminent though, and can be classed as a warning to those expecting anything soon.

Leeds will surely want new players, but now it is time to go out and make sure that happens before the end of the month.

The key word here? Patience.
