Leeds United still in hunt to sign Azzedine Ounahi, deal could go down to the wire
Leeds United are still in the hunt to sign Azzedine Ounahi in the January transfer window, and the deal could go down to the wire, as reported by Ben Jacobs on Caughtoffside.
The CBS Sport journalist wrote on 25 January that he is “surprised” that the 22-year-old is still at Angers who are struggling in Ligue 1.
The player enjoyed an “impressive” World Cup, but Angers have already received some three to four offers.
His potential exit cannot be ruled out as Leeds could try for him until the closing stages of the window.
May happen
It will be really interesting if Leeds can secure his signing in the closing stages of the window.

The Whites have scouted him heavily but they are not entirely convinced with the player’s price tag.
Phil Hay reported on The Athletic on 26 January that he was valued at around £10m back last summer, but Angers are demanding more than twice the amount after his impressive form in the World Cup.
Leeds at the moment have not made any advanced move, but anything can happen in the closing stages of the window. Angers could panic and accept a much-reduced offer as well.
The Whites have done terrific business this month. They have signed a left-back and a striker. Now, the club is looking to add another midfielder to their ranks.
Leeds sold Mateusz Klich earlier this month to DC United, and a proper replacement is needed. Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie could be another option, but Ounahi remains a major target.
