Leeds United starlet Cody Drameh impresses Joe Donnohue
Leeds United starlet Cody Drameh impressed LeedsLive reporter Joe Donnohue in the Whites’ 3-1 defeat to Jong Ajax on Wednesday.
Leeds were defeated 3-1 by Jong Ajax in the early afternoon, but Drameh was a standout performer for the Whites and earned an 8/10 rating from Donnohue.
The journalist claimed that the young defender was “one of the few players” to have made an impact and that he would have “undoubtedly impressed” Marcelo Bielsa, who was watching on from the stands. This is high praise indeed for Drameh, and it will be interesting to see if Bielsa gives him a chance in the first team this season.

Drameh was impressive!
Leeds signed the 19-year-old in the last summer transfer window from Fulham, and he has made 23 appearances for Leeds’ Under-23s.
He was also on the bench for the first team last season once but never made it onto the pitch for his first-team debut.
However, given that Leeds don’t have that many options at right-back, you would think there could be an opportunity for Drameh to feature in the first team this season if he continues to impress.

The Leeds team that played against Jong Ajax featured the likes of Helder Costa, Liam Cooper, and Kalvin Phillips, so to see him stand out above those bodes well for the future.
The defender has been described as “fantastic” by Ben Parker, and this was an impressive performance [LUTV, 03/05/2021].
Hopefully, he can build on this display and push Ayling a bit more this season, and this performance in front of Bielsa would have done his cause no harm.
