Leeds United starlet Cody Drameh could be involved in the first team this season
Leeds United starlet Cody Drameh could be set for a role in Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team, according to Phil Hay.
The Athletic reporter claimed that the right-back is “very much in the frame” for a first-team spot this season, especially if Bielsa finds himself down a centre-back or two, as that means Luke Ayling will probably shuffle across.
Hay also states that the 19-year-old is “making waves” and is “understood to be knocking on the door” for a call-up to the England Under-21 side.

Drameh to play in the first team?
Certainly, this report sounds positive for Drameh’s chances of playing for Leeds’ first team this season.
The Whites don’t really have that many options at right-back, so if Ayling suffers an injury or he has to play as a centre-back, you would think that Drameh would have a chance of making the first team.
He has performed well in pre-season for the Whites and was impressive during Leeds’ defeat to Jong Ajax recently [LeedsLive].

He has also impressed at Under-23 level, and given the shortage of right-backs at Elland Road, could he finally be given a chance to stake a claim in the first team?
Last season, he was also described as “fantastic” by Ben Parker [LUTV, 03/05/2021].
So there are clearly many admirers out there, and it would be fantastic to see Drameh at least play some part for the Whites’ first team this season.
