Leeds United star sends message to Raphinha after what he did for Barcelona
Pascal Struijk has reacted after former Leeds United star Raphinha scored a hat-trick for Barcelona in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.
The Brazil international captained and starred for the Catalans as they beat Vincent Kompany’s team 4-1 on 23 October at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.
Raphinha took to Instagram [24 October] and posted a picture after the win, underneath which Struijk commented with a fire emoji.
Raphinha still hero at Leeds United despite Barcelona transfer
The Brazilian signed for the Whites in the summer of 2020 from Stade Rennais and went on to become an instant fan favourite at the club.
Under Marcelo Bielsa, the 27-year-old was one of the reasons for the success the Elland Road faithful were able to witness.
During his second season at the club, the winger was among the few players who did not let the fans down, scoring 11 goals in the Premier League on the way to survival.

Raphinha’s goals were essential in Leeds avoiding the drop in the 2021/22 campaign, and him walking the length of the pitch on his knees after the Whites were safe from relegation remains in the memory of all.
Unfortunately for the Elland Road faithful, Barcelona signed the former Sporting forward in the summer of 2022, and Leeds eventually dropped into the Championship.
As things stand, Daniel Farke looks like the man who can take the club back to the top, and if Struijk continues to perform the way he has, the fans could be in for a treat at the end of the season and could enjoy Premier League football once again.
