Leeds United have found their very-own Brazilian maestro this season in Raphinha who has taken the Premier League by storm.
The Whites winger joins a long-list of South Americans to showcase their talents in the best league in the world, and he is doing it on a weekly basis.
After scoring the winner against Fulham on Friday evening, Raphinha got to sit back and watch the rest of the weekends’ action.
Spurs travelled to Aston Villa last night and easily swept them aside as Jack Grealish once again sat out as they continue to struggle.
Lucas Moura was the mastermind behind that, claiming an assist in his 150th game for the London side; something that caught the eye of Raphinha.
Writing on his personal Instagram account, Moura shared a picture of the clash and we were quick to notice the Leeds winger in the comments.
“Congratulations on the 150 games, you’re a monster,” he said.
Lucas has taken a similar path to the Premier League compared to Raphinha, but playing for much bigger teams along the way.
Both made the switch to England from France, but Moura came after years of success with Paris Saint-Germain compared to the Leeds ace who dragged his side into the Champions League.
Despite that, Raphinha has blown Moura out of the water this season.
Comparing the two via WhoScored, the Leeds ace has been involved in five more goals and averages more shots, key passes, dribbles and has even been dispossessed fewer times per game.
Raphinha may look up to these established Brazilians in the Premier League, but he is blowing them out of the water with his incredible displays; long may that continue.
