Leeds United star Raphinha could land in Barcelona on Monday to complete monster transfer

Leeds United star Raphinha could land in Barcelona as early as Monday, with his move set to be completed, according to SPORT.

The Spanish newspaper have reported on their website, backed up by 90min, that the Whites have agreed a fee with the Catalan giants with the winger not jetting out to Australia.

It is said that the fee could be worth £46.5million plus big add-ons and variables, as Barcelona are said to “get away” with a lower price than others were willing to spend.

It is reported that Premier League clubs including the likes of Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal were all willing to throw the house at getting a deal over the line.

Instead, a move to the Nou Camp is now very much on the cards.

Deco has pushed this move since day one and Leeds look to have accepted that this is the best scenario for all involved, despite the lower potential income.

Buckled?

That is certainly what it looks like with a deal lower than what has been offered elsewhere being agreed.

But, if Leeds receive that £46.5million straight up with the add-ons on top, that is more than enough to bring in a real blockbuster transfer for a new striker.

Raphinha getting his move to Barcelona is starting to look inevitable, and we are starting to think that the sooner he does that, the better it will be for Leeds.

We’re sure the club are as fed up as the fans with this deal, so if they can still bring in a record sale fee upfront, it’s not exactly the worst thing in the world.

Victor Orta will be waiting to pull the trigger on his list of strikers, and bringing in a show-stopping new number nine will certainly make us all forget this saga.

Remember too, Luis Sinisterra is already through the door at Elland Road and we won’t need to go through the hassle of bringing in a replacement.

Time to go.
