Leeds star Patrick Bamford sends Twitter message to Dele Alli after Spurs win

Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford has delivered a message to Tottenham playmaker Dele Alli on Wednesday evening.

Spurs demolished Austrian side Wolfsberger 4-0 in the Europa League to progress with ease, and Alli starred in that, scoring an overhead kick.

Bamford played with Alli at MK Dons and will have been keeping a close eye on his former teammate and his struggle under Jose Mourinho.

Bamford took to his personal Twitter account after the game, showering his former teammate in praise for his efforts in the Europa League.

“Absolutely buzzing for you, Dele Alli,” he wrote.

It was a brilliant goal, we have to give him that.

Bamford has been superb in the Premier League this season, and more would have probably expected that from Alli rather than the player who was supposedly “not good enough” for this division.

Alli-Bamford partnership.

Could you imagine this pair tearing up the Premier League together next season? Now, that would be something we would love to see.

Mourinho clearly hasn’t got the best out of the England international since arriving at Spurs, and Marcelo Bielsa would completely transform him.

The 24-year-old has only completed 768 minutes of action this season, but he hasn’t managed any goal involvements in the Premier League.

Leeds are only one point and one place behind Spurs in the league as it stands, and Alli will be watching the success of his Bamford, and firing praise back his way too.

Bamford is in a league of his own at this moment, and who would have thought we’d have been saying that this time last year.
