Leeds United star Karl Darlow joins new brand – Everything you need to know
Leeds United goalkeeper Karl Darlow has unveiled his latest personal sponsorship deal.
Darlow has cemented his spot as Daniel Farke‘s first-choice stopper after summer signing Lucas Perri was removed from the firing line following a string of costly errors.
The 35-year-old has quietly become one of the most impressive performers at Elland Road, and he was outstanding again during the hard-fought 1-0 defeat by Manchester City, as shown by the Sofascore graphic below.
His eye-catching saves to deny Nico O’Reilly, Omar Marmoush, and Marc Guehi proved he is at the top of his game, and now, his displays have been recognised off the pitch.

Who has sponsored Karl Darlow?
It was revealed late on Monday night that Darlow is now sponsored by Uhlsport, a German sporting goods manufacturer. Specifically, he will wear the brand’s goalkeeper gloves.
The collaboration was announced on Instagram, alongside a photo of the former Newcastle United man sporting a sleek black pair of gloves while in action for Leeds.
“Now officially part of the UHLsquad – equipped and ready for every save, every clean sheet, every big moment,” the post read. “Welcome, Karl.”
Darlow opted to change to Uhlsport gear last November, having previously worn Puma.
Moving forward, he will strictly stick to his new sponsors and will join a stable comprising several of the world’s most well-known goalkeepers, including two Premier League rivals.
Either way, Farke will hope for more of the same, with Darlow crucial in Leeds’ survival bid.
Who else works with Uhlsport?
Tottenham’s number one, Guglielmo Vicario, notably wears Uhlsport gloves, as does West Ham’s Alphonse Areola. Both players have featured in promotional material on social media.
Further afield, AC Milan and France superstar Mike Maignan is also part of the ‘Uhlsquad’, and is joined by under-fire Celtic veteran Kasper Schmeichel.
The brand enjoys an especially strong presence in the Bundesliga, boasting deals with Hoffenheim captain Oliver Baumann and Bayern Munich back-up Sven Ulreich.
Darlow is the latest player to have signed up, proving that the future is indeed bright for him.
First, however, he will have to agree to a new Leeds contract. Currently, he is set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, but could sign a deal with reduced terms.
