Leeds United star Diego Llorente closing in on return
Leeds United star Diego Llorente is closing in on a return to first-team action for the Whites, after he was spotted in training.
The Spaniard uploaded a picture of himself on his official Instagram page with the caption “ready”, suggesting that the 28-year-old is raring to go after missing the first two games of the season.
Without Llorente in their defence, Leeds have conceded seven goals in their opening two league fixtures, and you would think they could do with him back as soon as possible.
Llorente to return?
With the international break coming up after the Carabao Cup and this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, Llorente has plenty of time to prepare himself and get himself fit for the rest of the season.
Obviously, it would be brilliant to see him involved against Burnley at the weekend, but there is no point rushing him and potentially ruling him out for longer.
However, there is no doubt that Leeds are better defensively with Llorente in the side than without, and we hope to see him back involved soon.
This is a man who has been described as an “incredible player” by Noel Whelan and also has eight caps for Spain, so he has a good pedigree, and we look forward to seeing him more this season when he returns from this injury [Football Insider].
This picture appears positive and we can’t wait to see Llorente back in the heart of Leeds’ defence.
In other Leeds United news, one first-team player is set for an imminent exit from Elland Road.
